I believe an essential component of the therapeutic process is open and honest communication between therapist and client. In choosing a therapist, you should feel confident that you are in an atmosphere that is safe and free of judgment. It is in this environment where you can be your genuine self. When you are comfortable to let down your defenses, the true work begins and personal growth and healing is possible. It is my hope that the therapeutic relationship serves as a model for open, honest, and healthy communication, giving clients the confidence to implement needed changes in their relationships. I am happy that you are making the investment in yourself and seeking true self-awareness through therapeutic processing and reflection. I look forward to the opportunity to support you in this journey.
I completed my undergraduate studies at University of Michigan and received my Master’s Degree in Clinical Counseling from Eastern Michigan University. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the State of Arizona, and a National Certified Counselor (NCC). I am also Board Certified in TeleMental Health (BC-TMH). My counseling experience includes individual and group counseling at the inpatient level; as well as individual, family, and couples counseling in an outpatient setting. I have been working in private practice since June 2011.
I was born and raised in Southeastern Michigan. I have been back and forth between Michigan and Arizona since 1999, returning permanently to Arizona in 2010. I am grateful for the opportunity to work with clients and supporting them in their journey. I am highly invested in the success of my clients, and as a spouse and mother I can often relate to their daily struggles. I believe one of the greatest gifts of the therapeutic process is knowing that you are not alone, and there is always hope given a willingness for change.
